Get up close and personal with today's female surfers in JettyGirl, a monthly electronic magazine for surfer girls of all ages. Each month we feature one surfer with an in-depth interview, photos and video clips.
This month we take a look at Australian legend
Prue Jeffries. Following a succession of injuries (including a broken
neck) Prue hung up her contest jersey a while back and now devotes a great
deal of her time to promoting women's surfing through events such as the
recent Women's World Longboard Championships in Ocean Beach. In addition,
she also produces women's surf films through her company Stardust Productions.
Our interview with Prue examines her views on the current state of women's
surfing, her passion for alternative surfboards, and her desire to make
positive contributions to the world at large. After reading the interview,
be sure to check out Prue's latest photos
and video clips.
