Say No More from Bird Man Media on Vimeo.
On July 26, 2013 a truly rare event is scheduled to go down in Carlsbad, California, when a brand new all-women's longboard surf film premieres at the historic Carlsbad Village Theatre. Birdman Media's "Say No More" stars California surfers Tory Gilkerson, Karina Rozunko, Makala Smith, Lindsay Steinriede-Engle, Erin Ashley, and Stephanie Vigiano. Screenings at 7pm and 9pm. Purchase tickets ahead of time to avoid long lines at the ticket booth. Mark your calendars and come support independent filmmaking and women's longboarding. And now a few words from the surfers themselves...
"While we still seem to be living in a world where we're showing the youth (via ads) that image is more important that substance, it's great to see that someone still believes in the idea that women as athletes can stand on their own. Taylor Larison has gotten together an eclectic group of female longboarders--from high performance to traditional loggers and all are doing their own thing." - Erin Ashley

"The making of 'Say No More' has been an awesome adventure of surfing good waves with good friends and great support. I am stoked to be a part of the film and can't wait to see the final product!" - Tory Gilkerson

"We may not have traveled to exotic locations with perfect empty waves and tropical, crystal clear seas, but we have been dedicated to showcasing what we female longboarders do day in and day out for the love of the sport. Outlets and recognition for women's longboarding are so few and far between that I am very grateful to be a part of an all-female longboard film that highlights some of my favorite waves around my hometown and Southern California. - Lindsay Steinriede
