THEWB.COM AND GO211 TO STREAM
SUPERGIRL JAM CONTESTS LIVE
BURBANK, Calif., August 13, 2009
– When the 2nd Annual Supergirl Pro Junior hits
the Oceanside, CA, beach waves this weekend, a $15,000
total prize purse awaits the best of 16 young, female
surfers competing in this Association of Surfing Professionals
(ASP) Grade-4 contest. The Supergirl Pro Junior kicks
off the 2009 Supergirl Jam event series, the action
sports industry’s largest all-female competition
and lifestyle festival, featuring more than 100 female
pros in surfing, skateboarding, inline skating and snowboarding.
The Supergirl Pro Junior contest
draws emerging surfing stars around the world, including
Courtney Conlogue (Santa Ana, California), winner of
this year's U.S. Open of Surfing Women's Event and the
USA gold medalist in the International Surfing Association’s
World Surfing Games.
The industry’s best 20-and-under

their place atop the 2009 ASP junior rankings in Oceanside,
CA, include:

Ho (Oahu, Hawaii) in the first Supergirl Pro Junior
contest. All three ladies are hungry for the title,
so the excitement and competitive atmosphere will be
intense.
This year’s field of competitors
and increased prize purse have fired up the anticipation
for the Supergirl Pro Junior and its sister events,
the Supergirl Pro-Am Jam (August 19, Woodward West)
and Supergirl Jam (September 6, Venice Beach, California).
To support the international interest in the series,
two of the Supergirl Jam’s partners will bring
the action to fans via live webcasts and behind-the-scenes
video highlights.
TheWB.com, the official online
destination for the 2009 Supergirl Jam events and competitions,
will bring fans the competitive action of the Supergirl
Pro Junior, Supergirl Pro-Am Jam, Snowboard Rail Jam
and the Skateboard Street contest via a live webcast
on September 6. Fans can also receive breaking news
