Launch Party Benefit of “Wet Wednesday” – Where the line-up is always epic…

March 26, 2009 (Santa Barbara, CA) Sandbar Restaurant and Tequila Bar is proud to announce the launch of “Wet Wednesday”! Starting April 1st, 2009, every Wednesday 9pm – close we invite you to Drop-In with your friends to check out the new weekly event series! With such a strong, high- energy surf community fueled on stoke, Sandbar figured why not do something special back? With that, we plan to be the social hub of those with the mutual passion of surf , for every week “Wet Wednesday” will be reserved for surf oriented events such as: fundraisers, contests, drink specials, raffle give- away, celebrity guest bartenders, live music and more.

We're kicking off our new series HUGE with Benefit Launch Party - “Wahine Wednesday” slated for April 1st, 18+ 8:00pm – close! We’re bringing in our energetic surf girls to support and celebrate the Women of Surfing! Featuring surf pro’s Mary Osborne, Betty Belt and Patagonia ambassadors and more, this evening will include drink specials, live music with Todd Hannigan and Zuri Allen Star, fundraising efforts with a major raffle give away from Patagonia, Mary Osborne, Betty Belts, Xcel Wetsuites, Kustom Sandals, Heather Hudson Crummer ‘s movie, “The Women and the Waves” and Surf Art from local artists, all to benefit local non-profit Heal the Ocean.

Located in the heart of State Street in Santa Barbara and walking distance to the beach, Sandbar offers great “Best of Sonora Style” food, 22 plasmasT.V.’s and with recent new ownership the Restaurant and Tequila Bar has a beautiful new open air design incorporating a fresh look and feel with a “South of the Border” ambiance including cast-iron lamps, leather couches and seats, and an outdoor fire-pit to suit comfort and fun for all ages.
