Malibu, California
(September 9, 2008) - The Malibu Surfing Association's
Competition Team emerged victorious at the 45th Anniversary

Surf Club), Johnnie Hooper (Malibu Boardriders Club),

free surf format.

Peppers bassist Flea, Desperate Housewives star Richard
Burgi, television actors Chad Lowe and David Chokachi,

included a celebration of the MSA's 1963 contest, the
first at Malibu. Several 1963 participants and attendees,
including San Diego legends Skip Frye and Hank Warner,
took to the water with professional surfers Dane Perlee,

Malibu surf.
