Ocean Academy's Junior Waterman program is designed
to have participants fully engaged in ocean activities
with instructors who are certified in emergency
response. Ocean Academy’s family of instructors
have 30 plus years of lifesaving, surfing and
other ocean adventures.... The Junior Waterman
will participate in selected activities from our
core curriculum which will enhance and build skill
development and confidence in the ocean.
These
are just some of the FUNdamentally exciting activities
you can look forward to: swimming (kinda important...
ya think...), paddling, surfing, kayaking, Jetski
/ boat operations, six man outrigger canoe, ocean
rescues, first aid and plenty of other crazy -fun
ocean extravaganzas...8 one-week sessions this
summer for ages 7 through 15.

days we will go 'til 4:00 PM due to "TOO
MUCH FUN"!!!
9:00:
Attendance and daily orientation
9:10: Walk to site
9:20: Sun screen / settle in
9:25: Stretch / Warm up activities
9:40: Ocean Swim / paddle
10:00: Group 1: Surfing; Group 2: Focused Core
Curricular activities...
Lunch: FOOD-WATER-REST-SHADE-SUN SCREEN
12:45: Group 2: Surfing; Group 1: Focused Core
Curricular activities...
2:30: Clean up & Go home

Ocean Academy will provide the following equipment:
•Wetsuits- If you do not have one - not
to worry, we do. Wetsuits may be checked out for
the entire week during the registration process
at Ocean Academy headquarters. Please call for
details.

•Games / Activity Supplies
•Shade
•Friday Family BBQ & Recognition / Awards
- Each week the program concludes with a BBQ.
