Surf
School Lanzarote offers the very latest in
innovative coaching methods at all levels, combined
with excellent private accommodation set in the
most stunning of scenery. We are the only registered
and qualified International Surfing Association
and British Surfing Association School in the
Canaries and we are thought of as being one of
the best schools/camps in Europe.
We know that a huge gap
exists between the usual 1⁄2 day lesson
offered at most schools and the coaching and teaching
of surfing as a serious sport. Surf School Lanzarote
fills that gap and with more than 28 years of
teaching experience and a solid
teaching system. We constantly watch our clients
advance in the sport and achieve, in a short
time, a level its takes others years to attain.
We have always coached
women to surf to their full potential and count
one European Champion and four National Champions
in our alumni but no matter your abilities or
aspirations or style of surfing this
school and teaching method will offer improvement
and enjoyment.
We expand
on basic surf skills and teach the technical
aspects of board control, turning and maneuvers
for short boards, mid range and longboards and
we will advise on, and design boards for, our
clients free of charge. Paddle out skills, unbroken
wave catching and riding skills are all part of
our coaching program and make a huge difference
to personal skill acquisition.
All are coaches are fully
qualified as professional
surfing instructors but also as beach lifeguards,
and we know that if surf knowledge is passed down
with safety in mind, this can only add to personal
confidence in the water. We teach the understanding
of rips and currents, wave formation, tidal movement,
wave prediction and surf etiquette to all our
clients as well surf board design, surfing history,
surfing fitness and many other surf related subjects.
We aim to pass on the knowledge that we have grown
up with, the knowledge that’s essential
to every surfer.
Our excellent
private accommodation is based in the lovely
Canarian fishing village of Famara and all accommodation
is a short walk from the beach. Our beach is renowned
for yearlong consistent surf and a friendly vibe
in the water.
