I'd use it for my surf trip!!
JG: Describe the best surfboard
you've ever ridden and why it was special to
you.
Sayuri: Fade Surfboards
shaped by Wes Oshiro. He shapes the best surfboards
in the world :) I've ridden his board since
I started.
JG: If you could travel
back to any time in history and hang with one
person while they go about their daily activities,
who would it be and why?
Sayuri: 09' North
Shore. I had really fun days with my friend
who I can't name. Haha! We just surfed, played
guitar, played cards, and watched the Triple
Crown.
JG: For thirty days you're
stuck on a desert island with one book, one
song, one surf movie and one snack food. Which
ones would you choose?
Sayuri: I'll bring
my Encyclopedia, Blackbird by The Beatles,
September Sessions, and Hershey's Chocolate
Bars.
JG: What is your best surf-related
memory of 2009?
Sayuri: My best
memory of 2009 was at the Hurley US OPEN!! It
was my first year on the WQS and I got my best
result there ...finished 5th place. I love the
people there and the waves were super fun at
Trestles!!
