JettyGirl: A one million
dollar check arrives in your mailbox with a
note that reads, "Half of this amount is
yours and the other half is to benefit the world
around you." How would you spend the money?
Sara Taylor: The
Sara Foundation ...buy some property here and
there ...then play it smart and invest ...then
travel a bit. And JettyGirl to benefit the world
around me. They're both good causes.
JG: Describe the best surfboard
you've ever ridden and why it was special to
you.
Sara: I think I
was pretty amped on my first quad. I painted
a lawn flamingo on it with paint pen. I rode
it 'til its death in Newport.
JG: If you could travel
back to any time in history and hang with one
person while they go about their daily activities,
who would it be and why?
Sara: Black Beard.
Pirate's life for me!
JG: For thirty days you're
stuck on a desert island with one book, one
song, one surf movie and one snack food. Which
ones would you choose?
Sara: I forgot
the name of the book.. shesh. The theme song
from The Life Aquatic. The Endless
Summer. Have'a Chips.
JG: What is your best surf-related
memory of 2009?
Sara: Catching
a wave naked (out in the bush, like middle of
nowhere) in Australia. No leash and jelly fish
infested waters...
