JettyGirl: A one million
dollar check arrives in your mailbox with a
note that reads, "Half of this amount is
yours and the other half is to benefit the world
around you." How would you spend the money?
Sally Fitzgibbons:
I would give half of it to SurfAid International
as they do a great job and I would also give
my half to help with cancer research.
JG: Describe the best surfboard
you've ever ridden and why it was special to
you.
Sally: It would
have to be my Dad's 8' longboard that had been
snapped in the middle and glued back together
that I rode when I was 7. It was like a boat
but was so much fun when I was starting to surf.
JG: If you could travel
back to any time in history and hang with one
person while they go about their daily activities,
who would it be and why?
Sally: Tough question
but check out the book I am reading below. Kim
(Dalton) was an inspiration in the short life
she lived.
JG: For thirty days you're
stuck on a desert island with one book, one
song, one surf movie and one snack food. Which
ones would you choose?
Sally: The
Real Fight - A Memoir of A Life Interrupted
(inspirational book about Kim Dalton). Sweet
Dreams by Beyonce. Modern Collective.
Gorilla Munch.
JG: What is your best surf-related
memory of 2009?
Sally: Scoring
a 10 point ride at the Sunset Beach Gidget Pro.
