JettyGirl: A one million
dollar check arrives in your mailbox with a
note that reads, "Half of this amount is
yours and the other half is to benefit the world
around you." How would you spend the money?
Prue Jeffries:
My personal half of the check would be used
to help out my family, friends or loved ones
that needed it. Then I would use the rest to
open a Healing and Well Being Center. The second
half would be used to start a foundation for
those in need of assistance on their Healing
Journeys, so anyone "suffering" and
wanting assistance, no one would be turned away
due to any type of "lack". Hopefully
the money would be well spent so I could attract
more abundance to branch out further, like assisting
orphanages and the underprivileged further.
That would be wonderful.
JG: Describe the best surfboard
you've ever ridden and why it was special to
you.
Prue: I have had
so many "favorite and magic boards"
it is hard to label a best ...they are all in
my heart and therefore the shapers that made
them for me. Simon Anderson, Maurice Cole, Al
Merrick, Eric Arakawa. The last few years, it
has been about my 5'4" Donald Takayama
quad fish with the Halo fins. I love it and
Donald, they are both Gems!
JG: If you could travel
back to any time in history and hang with one
person while they go about their daily activities,
who would it be and why?
Prue: Tough choice.
Jesus, Buddha, Kuan Yin or Mary Magdelene? I
like truth, so would want to observe and experience
for Self.
JG: For thirty days you're
stuck on a desert island with one book, one
song, one surf movie and one snack food. Which
ones would you choose?
Prue: Only one
Book!! Hmmm, I still haven't finished Ulysses
by James Joyce and I keep Shrugging Atlas off...
I would take the whole Lord of the Rings
...actually I will cheat, as I think there
is a Tolkien book that has Simarillion,
The Hobbit and all the Rings trilogy
rolled into one. You can never read Tolkein
once. Lakmé's Viens Mallika
(Flower Duet). Sprout. Chocolate.
JG: What is your best surf-related
memory of 2009?
Prue: Best surf
related memory is sharing some water time with
my lil' buddy Ian and his family. Seeing a child
smile so wide and overcome fears ...you couldn't
ask for a better session!
