JettyGirl: A one million
dollar check arrives in your mailbox with a
note that reads, "Half of this amount is
yours and the other half is to benefit the world
around you." How would you spend the money?
Paige Hareb: On
poor kids around the world to get and stay healthy
and get an education.
JG: Describe the best surfboard
you've ever ridden and why it was special to
you.
Paige: It was one
of my Mt Woodgee's shaped by Wayne McKewen.
My first surf it just felt magic, it was doing
everything right. I saved it in bubble wrap
until my semi's and final and it helped me win
the Margaret River comp. I still have it for
memories and pull it out every now and then.
JG: If you could travel
back to any time in history and hang with one
person while they go about their daily activities,
who would it be and why?
Paige: I would
go back to when my Mum and Dad were young and
partying!
JG: For thirty days you're
stuck on a desert island with one book, one
song, one surf movie and one snack food. Which
ones would you choose?
Paige: Eleven
Hours. Highway to Hell by AC/DC. The surf
movie would be Modern Collective and
my snack would be tacos and/or chocy milk!
JG: What is your best surf-related
memory of 2009?
Paige: Way too
many! I loved Tahiti this year though, sickest
waves!
