JettyGirl: A one million
dollar check arrives in your mailbox with a
note that reads, "Half of this amount is
yours and the other half is to benefit the world
around you." How would you spend the money?
Jodie Nelson: I
would invest half of the money the other half
I would give to my church.
JG: Describe the best surfboard
you've ever ridden and why it was special to
you.
Jodie: The best
surfboard I've ever ridden would have to be
the MR I stole off of Pat O'Connell. It truly
is the most fun surfboard I have ever ridden
and every person that hops on it agrees. Sorry
PatO, you're going to have to cut my arms off
to get it back!
JG: If you could travel
back to any time in history and hang with one
person while they go about their daily activities,
who would it be and why?
Jodie: It would
definitely be my Dad. He passed away in 2001
tragically in a plane crash. He was one of the
smartest and hardest working people I have ever
known. He was a true entrepreneur and knew how
to live life to the fullest! I would want to
learn as much as I could from him as since 2001
there are so many things I wish I had asked
and so many things I wished I had paid more
attention to!
JG: For thirty days you're
stuck on a desert island with one book, one
song, one surf movie and one snack food. Which
ones would you choose?
Jodie: The Bible,
Jazz The Glass, Avocado.
JG: What is your best surf-related
memory of 2009?
Jodie: My best
surf-related memory of 2009 would have to be
the Catalina Paddle, just because I'd say it
was the most challenging thing I did in 2009.
