Great in 2008:
Thirty Surfers Look Into the New Year
The idea was simple enough. Send out
a few questions about the new year to thirty surfers from
around the world. When we went to put the piece together though,
we realized the difficulty in placing the surfers in any meaningful
order. Who goes first? The seven-time world champion, the
newly crowned longboarding world champ, the style icon? We
soon came to the conclusion that there was simply no fool-proof
method of selection. Consequently, the order that the following
surfers appear in is 100% random, each surfer's name having
been drawn out of a hat by a young grom with Megan Abubo being
lucky #1.
