JettyGirl:
Any New Year's resolutions for 2008?
Rochelle Ballard: To not be hung over the first day of the
year. I'd like to do more yoga. Learn spanish.
JG: If you were to donate time or money to a charitable organization or cause in 2008, what would it be and why?
RB: I would donate time to ASEC. They had a hospitality service
out on the North Shore this winter. I like what they are doing.
The industry has gotten so huge, it's important to bring more
environmental awareness into surfing. It would be great if
the whole industry were to be more resourceful and have less
waste.
JG: Judging on any category you find relevant, name five female surfers to watch for in 2008 and why.
RB: Coco Ho, because she is ripping. Stephanie Gilmore, she
is amazing on the guitar and is on fire. Keala Kennelly, she
is always surprising us and you never know what she's gonna
do next. Sofia Mulanovich, because she is an amazing woman
and inspires an entire country with her surfing and her passion.
Kassia Meador, she is such a graceful surfer and loves film
projects.
