Any New Year's resolutions for 2008?
Shannon McIntyre: To pray more for others, obey God more.
To be the best mom I can be to my two children. Lose the "baby
weight" by surfing and eating right. Grow my art business
and continue creating "On Surfari".
JG: If you were to donate time or money to a charitable organization or cause in 2008, what would it be and why?
SM: I currently give to these organizations and hope to continue
supporting them. Compassion
International (sponsor a child); Gospel
for Asia (sponsor a family); Nueva Creation (a rehabilitation
center for children in La Paz mexico); Sumba
Foundation (betters the lives and health of people of
Sumba); Leapin.org/Holidays
with Purpose (improves the lives of people of Sumatra);
Gabriel
House (an orphanage for disabled children in mexico);
Surfrider
and Surf Aid
and to our churches, Horizon
Christian Fellowship, and Christians of the Caribbean.
All of these organizations are close
to my heart in that I have traveled to many of the countries
that they are in. l love seeing that the results of a little
help can go a long way to saving a life, and sharing the love.
JG: Judging on any category you find relevant, name five female surfers to watch for in 2008 and why.
SM: Sorry, I'm not a good judge.
