Any New Year's resolutions for 2008?
Prue Jeffries: Enjoy the adventure of life and live with an
open heart. Spend an abnormal amount of time smiling. Surf
more...
JG: If you were to donate time or money to a charitable organization or cause in 2008, what would it be and why?
PJ: Rather practice my own random acts of kindness ...first.
I feel it is better to do something more hands-on ...personal
and tangible. Much better to spread love from yourself to
another ...if everyone started on this level we wouldn't need
charitable organizations. We would just have a global Love
train :) ...where we could end another's suffering by just
being aware and doing what we can to help alleviate that.
I mean really, you could donate a million
dollars to a charity and turn around and still create sadness
or hurt in people close to you. So start with self even in
small ways. Smile ...be kind to others.
Moving away from ideals...
Amnesty
international, humans get horrific with each other over
belief systems and power. Humanitarian
Wave too.
JG: Judging on any category you find relevant, name five female surfers to watch for in 2008 and why.
PJ: Steph Gilmore (obviously) but she has just started..so
more crazy stuff to come. What's one world title these days?
Megan Abubo, I think she might get some fire in her belly
for more contest wins. Tristan Prettyman, her style...seems
to be on the verge of something big. Megan Gordines, this
kid is crazy talented on a longboard. I am going to say Number
5 is some little girl out there ripping at their local beach
...they all know who they are ...and if they don't yet, they
soon will realize who they could be ...and get going with
it all.
