JettyGirl:
Any New Year's resolutions for 2008?
Rebecca Woods: To stay on task for one year, focus and not
be influenced by external sources.
JG: If you were to donate time or money to a charitable organization or cause in 2008, what would it be and why?
RW: Definitely disability awareness and rights. I have a sister
with a disability and feel there is a constant struggle for
acceptance and integration.
JG: Judging on any category you find relevant, name five female surfers to watch for in 2008 and why.
RW: Chelsea Hedges, she had an off year by her standards and
I think she will be itching over the break to get back in.
Sofia Mulanovich, world title ripped out of her grip, she
will be back with a vengeance. Holly Beck, always doing something
exciting, whether it be for environmental cause or her surfing
in general. Steph Gilmore, she wants to smash Layne's records.
Rochelle Ballard, now she has some freedom from contests...watch
out for some amazing free surf sessions.
