Cenote Swimwear

Like the water filled cave systems—Cenote’s of the Riviera Maya region, the idea of Cenote swimwear was born in Mexico.
One day walking along a sun drenched long sandy beach somewhere in Mexico the scenery tinged orange from the sun setting over the wild Pacific Ocean. We were watching the fisherman arriving home on colourful wooden boats with their day’s catch, pondering about life and our passions when the idea for Cenote swimwear bikinis was dreamt of. It was the start of a year of adventure and we had the positive attitude, hope and excitement that comes along with the unknown.
A road trip surfing our way down the PanAm highway in Central America saw long lazy days swinging in hammocks, hours laying out at sea on our surfboards, drinking coconuts, watching sunsets, dancing salsa until early hours, people watching in Rio de Janeiro, and absorbing the vibrant and colourful Latin culture. With such amazing and diverse inspiration around us we drew on this amazing energy and the ideas grew.
Drawing from the proud Latin culture we wanted to create pieces with flattering, flirty cuts whilst still being functional. Our tops feature the crossed back design for comfort and support and signature Cenote Drawstring hidden inside our bottoms, so they stay on. Our swimwear is dedicated to any girl who has ever wanted a bikini that stays on in the surf.
Here at Cenote Swimwear we love and respect the environment. We love and enjoy every part of it, and want to continue to do so into the future. Whilst we are constrained by the limitations that come along with being a small brand we will do everything we are able to use a sustainable and responsible approach to manufacturing our products. For this reason, we are very proud to say that this year we have decided to switch to making our Cenote swimwear surf bikinis from lycra made from 100% regenerated fibers from post consumer materials and will continue to produce products under fair trade agreements. The nylon and polyester in the lycra we use is recycled from wastes such as carpets, clothing and fishing nets, transformed into virgin raw material without any loss of quality and then manufactured into Cenote Swimwear Surf and cheeky cut brazilian Bikinis.
The need for strong durable pieces that stay on whilst you surf, dive, swim, jump off cliffs and take advantage of this amazing inspirational environment, is what encouraged us to design something for the active, adventurous women, but unlike other specific sport brands already out there, our designs are also fun, feminine and flirty.
We hope you love and enjoy them like we do! See more at http://www.cenoteswimwear.com.au/collections/all
